Indian Community School is pleased to welcome Phillip Spearo as our new Director of Human Resources. Phillip previously served ICS as Interim HR Director in 2022-2023, and we are happy to welcome him back to our school.
Phillip brings extensive experience in human resources, employee relations, organizational culture and leadership development. Most recently, he served as Employee Relations Manager for Rehlko, formerly Kohler Energy. Prior to Rehlko, he provided HR consulting to organizations and their Boards of Directors, including his work with ICS.
Earlier in his career, Phillip spent eight years with Acelero Learning, an early childhood education organization, where he served as Senior Vice President of People and led human resources for 1,700 employees across 30 states.
Phillip earned his Juris Doctor from Seattle University School of Law and his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse. He is licensed to practice law in Wisconsin and holds several professional certifications in employee relations, investigations, labor relations, leadership and change management.
Along with his experience, Phillip brings a thoughtful, people-centered approach to his work and an easy ability to connect with others. We welcome Phillip back to ICS to serve our staff in this important role.
