Native Language and Culture Revitalization Coordinator

An enrolled Arikara member of the Mandan-Hidatsa-Arikara Nation, Dr. Brad Kroupa / kuuNUx teeRIt, is currently the Revitalization Coordinator at Indian Community School and Research Associate with the American Indian Studies Research Institute at Indiana University (IU). Dr. Kroupa received his Ph.D. from IU in Social-Cultural Anthropology and the History of Education. His work focuses on engagement with decolonized research methodologies (i.e., community-based participatory research, youth participatory research, etc.), methods in language and cultural revitalization, and a commitment to critical collective action within Indigenous communities.
